What is Aromatherapy

When people think of Aromatherapy they think of scented candles, potpourri, and perfumes. But it is so much more. An easy definition that I learned from a great teacher is “Aromatherapy is the skilled and controlled use of Essential Oils for healing.” 

Essential oils can be used for:

  • Nausea Fatigue
  • Bacterial infections
  • Headaches
  • Reduce pain
  • Reduce  anxiety
  • Ease depression
  • Induce sleep
  • Boost cognitive performance

There is a growing body of research from laboratory and clinical studies that points to the remarkable healing properties of essential oils. Although plants have been used in ancient healing traditions the dawn of history. Aromatherapy offers a safe and effective alternative for dealing with many routine, day-to-day challenges to good health and well-being, and works well in conjunction with other appropriate interventions.
